Congratulations to Siolas Lab volunteer Nora Rahimian has been offered to participate in the John P. McNulty Scholars Program for Leadership in Science and Math at Hunter College!
This program is designed to prepare extraordinary science and math majors at Hunter College with the knowledge and experiences that will enable them to become leaders in their fields. McNulty Scholars receive hands-on research experience during the academic year in the scientific research laboratory. Additionally they receive scientific, academic and career guidance from the Hunter faculty members who are the leaders in the labs in which they work. They also receive advice and guidance from other McNulty Scholars and the administrators of the McNulty Scholars program. McNulty Scholars participate in bi-weekly workshops and seminars that will help them advance in their scientific careers and improve their leadership skills (topics may include, for example, negotiation, preparing scientific posters, networking at professional conferences).
Financial support: McNulty Scholars receive $6000 per academic year, paid in two installments throughout the academic year.
